Personalizing Relaxation Tools - A "Corporate Moment" 3-hour Workshop
Are you a staff leader dealing with excessive employee absenteeism and illness, staff showing stress-related symptoms of fatigue, low energy, poor productivity, and lack of focus?
In this three-hour workshop, we will explore and practice a variety of relaxation techniques for everyday use and various situations. These practical techniques will assist participants with mental clarity, rebalancing body and mind, restoring energy, and the ability to fall into a more restful sleep.
We are each unique and have unique emotional and physical make-ups. So, many different relaxation techniques are necessary to meet many different needs -- which even in the same individual can vary from day to day. In this workshop, participants will have the chance to try five different relaxation techniques in real relaxation sessions.
They will then rate the effectiveness and desirability of each exercise.
Participants will create a personalized Relaxation Tool Kit based on her/his specific response to each technique practiced. This kit can then be carried in a pocket or kept nearby for easy reference and reminding for daily use at home or at work.
There are four (10 minute) relaxations and one (20 minute) session. This is an excellent workshop for beginners, people who wish to start a meditation-relaxation practice, and more experienced meditators who want to add to their existing tool kit. For all participants, a consistent and regular relaxation practice at home has positive carryover benefits in the workplace.
Participants should wear comfortable clothing and bring a sweater or jacket for cool down. Bottled water will be available.
